Go tournament “Vilnius Cup 2024”

1. REGISTRATION
2. DATE AND VENUE
Date: April 27-28, 2024.
Place: Vilnius Užupis Gymnasium, Krivių st. 10, Vilnius, Lithuania.
3. TOURNAMENT SYSTEM AND RULES
- 5 rounds McMahon, even games, komi: 6.5.
- Playing time: 60 minutes basic time, 3 periods of 30 seconds byo-yomi (Japanese).
- Japanese rules.
- This is an official tournament of the Lithuanian Go Association (LGA) and the Regulations of LGA Tournament shall apply to it.
- If a player is late more than 30 minutes, this player is declared the loser of the game.

April 27:
- 10:00 Registration
- 10:15 Round 1
- 13:00 Round 2
- 16:00 Round 3
April 28:
- 09:00 Round 4
- 12:00 Round 5
- 14:15 Prize giving and closing
Round times can be adjusted to a more convenient time by mutual agreement. Prizes are awarded immediately after the last round. Clocks for each round are started strictly according to the (agreed) schedule.
5. TOURNAMENT FEE
Children, pupils, and full-time students – free.
Adults – 5 €.
6. CRITERIA USED FOR FINAL RANKING
The criteria used to determine the tournament winner and the final ranking of players are applied in the following order:
- McMahon score
- SOS (Sum of Opponents’ Scores)
- SOSOS (Sum of Opponents’ SOS)
- direct comparison
- coin toss
7. PRIZES
The tournament winner will be awarded a cup and diploma.
The players who finished in the 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded diplomas.
8. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
- The tournament is a public event. The following personal data of the participants may be publicly disclosed by publishing tournament results and announcements about this tournament: name, surname, rating, city, country, and achieved results. This personal data is also used for tournament organization and administration. This personal data is not deleted and is stored for statistical and historical purposes. All other personal data collected during participant registration will not be publicly disclosed, will only be accessible to organizers for proper tournament organization purposes, and will be deleted within a week after the end of the event.
- Each registered participant, by registering, agrees that the event organizers may freely and without separate consent use photographs and filmed material taken during the event to disseminate information about the tournament and Association activities.
9. OTHER PROVISIONS
Tournament organizers reserve the right to change tournament regulations until the start of the tournament’s first round.
Any disputes and problems are settled by the referee or LGA management board.
