 ⚡⚡ Registration is now open for the Summer Go Camp.  The Camp will take place on July 6-9 at the homestead “Prie Labanoro” in Slabada, Molėtai district, on the shore of Šlavinas lake.

We believe that as always we will have a lot of fun playing go, having other activities, and just spending time together.

A new platform for Go teachers and Go students

A new platform for Go teachers and Go studentsGo players are going to have their own equivalent of Airbnb and italki, i.e. The Marketplace of Online Go Lessons.

“Our goal is to save time of teachers and students” – says Mateusz Surma, 2 dan pro and the founder and CEO of polgote.com.

There will be a lot of automations available for Go players on the new platform, so that the process of communication before and after the lessons becomes much easier.

  1. Each teacher will be able to set their own calendar of availability for individual lessons.
  1. Each teacher will be able to publish offers for their own group lessons.
  1. Go students will be able to order individual lessons and join group lessons with teachers of their choice.
  1. It will be possible to get reminders before the lessons by e-mail and SMS.
  1. It will also be possible to connect your own polgote calendar with Google Calendar.
  1. Students will be able to write opinions after each lesson.
  1. Each student will also be able to watch their past Go lessons in their own polgote account.

Important information regarding events organized by the Lithuanian Go Association

Taking into account the situation caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the quarantine announced in Lithuania, we decided to postpone until further notice all the nearest go events organized by the Lithuanian Go Association – Vilnius Go Cup and the Lithuanian Youth Go Championship this year too. Their dates will be planned and announced upon the end of the pandemic and quarantine.
However, so far we are going to organize this year’s Summer Go Camp. It will take place on July 3-6 in the same place as last year – at the Ilona Homestead in Saladiškės, Molėtai district, on the shore of Ilgynas lake.

We have decided neither to cancel nor postpone the camp yet. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee anything 100%. It very much depends on the ever-changing situation, requirements, restrictions, and so on. Especially when there is so much time left before the scheduled camp date. However, we are monitoring the situation closely and will respond appropriately depending on the evolving situation. We will inform about any the changes concerning to the camp as soon as possible.

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and the quarantine announced in Lithuania, we decided to postpone until further notice all the nearest go events organized by the Lithuanian Go Association – Vilnius Go Cup and the Lithuanian Youth Go Championship.
